Restaurant Kitchen Re-Grout for Quarry Tile Floors

We remove the old greasy grout with a wet saw and regrout your kitchen floor overnight, so the new grout bonds and lasts.

Why kitchen grout wears out

Restaurant kitchen floors take hot water, grease, degreasers, and heavy traffic every day. Over time the grout between the 6x6 quarry tiles erodes below the tile edge, soaks up grease, and starts to break away. Low joints hold water and food debris, the floor gets harder to clean, and tiles begin to loosen.

Why grouting over old grout does not last

A common shortcut is to spread new grout over the existing joints. The old grout is contaminated with grease, so the new layer has nothing to bond to. It cracks and comes up in a few months, usually in the busiest areas first. You end up paying for the same floor twice.

Our wet-cut re-grout method

  • Cut out the old grout. We engineered our own wet saw for quarry tile joints. It removes old grout quickly and keeps the dust out of the air.
  • Clean the joints. Removing the contaminated grout leaves clean tile edges for the new grout to bond to.
  • Replace damaged tile. Cracked, loose, and missing floor and cove base tiles are replaced in the same visit.
  • Regrout and clean up. New grout is packed into the joints and the floor is cleaned before we leave.

Faster work, lower cost

Because our saw removes grout much faster than dry grinding, we finish in fewer nights. Less labor time is the reason our prices come in below most contractors.

Package pricing

Re-grout packages start at $2,500 for 500 square feet with 50 pieces of tile replaced. Most kitchens fit the $4,600 back of house and bar package. See all packages.

Warranty

Re-grout, tile repair, and tile replacement all carry a one-year warranty. In most kitchens the grout lasts two to three years, depending on the area and traffic. Dish areas and cook lines see the most wear.

Areas we regrout

No interruption to your operation

We start after you close and are out before your opening crew arrives. We use a premium fast-setting hydraulic grout and fast-setting materials throughout, so your prep crew never deals with wet grout or loose tile in the morning. Larger kitchens are done in sections over several nights.
